The Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health is proud to field a 5-person relay team in the Akron Marathon Relay in Akron - September 27, 2025 - to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s and related dementias research.Every mile we run supports better care, deeper understanding, and the pursuit of a cure.Join us in supporting the Cleveland Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center.
Why We Run
Alzheimer’s doesn’t just affect individuals — it touches families, friends, caregivers, and entire communities. Many of us already know, or will someday know, someone impacted by dementia. That’s why we believe this cause matters — and why we’re asking for your support.We’re using this opportunity to raise funds for the Cleveland Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center (CADRC) through our official philanthropy page.
About the Cleveland Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center
Mission:
The Cleveland ADRC unites key research and clinical institutions in Northeast Ohio to advance our understanding of the multiple underlying causes of Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias. The Center accelerates the development of new treatments through inclusive and innovative research, community outreach, education, and compassionate care.Vision:
To be a leader in the fight against Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias by pursuing cutting-edge research, training the next generation of researchers and clinicians, and providing exceptional care to patients and their families. The Center strives to improve diagnostic accuracy to drive personalized care, discover new treatments and preventative strategies, and ultimately find a cure.
Meet the Team
Our team is made up of an interdisciplinary group of members from the Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health - Cleveland with a shared passion for running.
